Fairview Elementary School Readathon 2024!!!!!

Dear Fairview Elementary School Parents,

First, a huge thank you to the Family Fun committee for the Heritage night event.  Is was so well thought out and attended and I just want to say thank you to those who created it and everyone who participated.

Now, I hope this letter finds you well and excited for the upcoming month of March! We are thrilled to announce that Fairview Elementary School will be hosting a Readathon from March 1st to March 31st, 2024, and we want your family to be a part of this exciting literary adventure.

The Readathon is designed to encourage a love for reading while also promoting literacy and comprehension skills among our students. It's a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together, celebrate the joy of reading, and instill a lifelong passion for learning in our children.

Here are some of our reading and fundraising goals:

A school reading goal to reach 50,000 minutes read.
A school fundraising goal of $10,000 to support various school activities (want to know more?? Join Us)

We set up a cookie table for staff to enjoy on December 12th. The Fairview community came through with hundreds of cookies for our amazing staff!

Our Staff Appreciation Committee put together this Winter Break Breakfast!  Enjoy the break everyone!

Art Tables have arrived!

The 2022-2023 PTA purchased new art tables for Fairview Elementary.  Like all good things, we had to wait for their delivery but they've arrived and are ready to help build creative minds!  Thanks to all of our members and donors for making this happen.  The old tables were in poor condition and unlevel with wobbles, this was a major distraction to student concentration.  We're excited to be able to help the school with this upgrade.

The PTA develops programs that impact our community -- and therefore our children -- such as:

Why join?

This year's PTA theme is COMMUNITY. We hope to engage all of the microcommunities that exist in our world - including students, staff, parents and guardians, grandparents, community businesses, and charitable organizations. We hope you'll join us and pitch in. Your time commitment is up to you. Keep in mind, you don't have to be the quarterback to contribute.

There is a place for EVERYONE at Fairview. Whether you chair a committee, volunteer for a specific event, or send in band-aids when your child's class runs out, you are contributing to our community.
